Workshop overview:

The objective is to present each sanitation maintenance technique from multiple perspectives:

  • Specific cleanliness objectives

  • Required tools and products

  • Occupational health considerations (infectious, chemical, ergonomic risks)

  • Execution method (sequence and movement)

This structured approach offers a comprehensive understanding of tasks (what, why, how), promotes standardization, and enhances both quality and efficiency. This workshop builds on the Basic Principles training and consolidates previously learned concepts.

Key content elements:

The training is divided into two parts: a theoretical session in the classroom using a projector and course materials, and a practical session conducted on-site using the same materials and required tools.

Classroom session (approximately 1 hour 15 minutes):

  • Basic principles of sanitation maintenance

  • Presentation of techniques

Two options selected from the following:

  • Cleaning a restroom

  • Cleaning an office

  • Cleaning a conference room

  • Cleaning a food service area

  • Cleaning a main entrance or corridor

  • Cleaning a waste room

Training can be customized: additional areas may be added or removed based on your needs.

On-site integration and consolidation session (approximately 2 hours 45 minutes):

During the same training, participants move through different areas and apply the knowledge acquired in the classroom using the same techniques.

Discussion:

  • How does your current technique differ from the proposed method?

  • Assess required changes and potential challenges in transitioning from existing practices to new techniques (changing routines can be difficult).

  • Collect insights for coaching and client feedback.

Learning objectives:

  • Become familiar with the most up-to-date and effective maintenance techniques (update).

  • Assess the techniques currently used by participants compared to the latest practices, and identify how they differ.

  • Evaluate the changes required and potential challenges in implementing them (changing routines can be difficult).
